“Peel’s services are provided with a professional organisation and efficiency and I have enjoyed working for Peel very much. Many thanks to you and all your great team for everything.”

– Simulated Patient

“The reputation for Peninsular Medical School goes from strength to strength and I’m sure that it’s partly to do with the value they put on work with simulated patients and their eagerness to collaborate and utilise our skills and experience. I know they have the highest regard for Peel and it will continue to be a privilege to assist in the training they provide!”

– Simulated Patient

“I am very aware of how you have valued and respected us as simulated patients over the years, and looked after not only our welfare and our rates of pay, but that you have also had interest in our careers and us as people. “

–  Simulated Patient

“Thank you Laura for the part you play in organising [the ISCEs] all so efficiently. Also a big thank you to Daphne and Elaine for their work ‘on the ground’.”

Testimonials From Our Clients

These are just a selection of testimonials our clients have sent to us.

“Peninsula Medical School has been fortunate enough to work with Peel Roleplay for over 10 years. As well as providing excellent quality simulated patients, members of their team have been fundamental in helping to develop and deliver our communication skills curriculum. Some of their highly trained SPs also act as assessors of communication skills during our annual ISCEs. I have to say that our collaboration has only been able to develop in this way as a result of the working relationship and respect that has been fostered by the excellent team at Peel.

Since the start of our working relationship, Peel have proved to be attentive and responsive to our needs as a Medical School. The team are willing to listen and help find solutions for our SP needs, some of which go beyond the normal communication skills provision.

I personally feel very fortunate to be working with the individuals of Peel Roleplay. We have developed a great relationship built on trust over the years. Their attention to detail and the quality assurance processes they operate have really helped us to ensure that the quality of our students, and their experiences, are at the highest level.

I think we are very fortunate to work with such a professional and motivated team. The company, team and SPs have all played a part in the success of our programmes and I look forward to continuing our relationship for the foreseeable future.”

Deputy Lead for Clinical and Communication Skills, Senior Clinical Skills Tutor, Plymouth University

“Since Kent & Medway Medical School (KMMS) opened to its inaugural students in 2020 we have used the services from Peel Roleplay. This involves using Peel roleplay to source our simulated patients both within our clinical communications skills workshops as well as our OSCEs.  We are extremely impressed by the services from Peel roleplay in terms of their professionalism and organisation in supporting our teaching and assessment at KMMS.  They provide actors who are  of a very high standard who  replicate  simulated patients with authenticity and in alignment to our scripts and guidance.

Peel provide  excellent preparation and training to their actors which is evident with their role play but also with the high quality feedback they provide to students on their performance.  Students and colleagues regularly evaluate the exceptional feedback that is provided to students which supports their communication development on the undergraduate medical programme.

Peel always provide a timely response to any request or amendments to our teaching and OSCE needs.  They worked particularly hard with maintaining our simulated patient requests during the pandemic which was challenging with all the covid requirements, but they never let us down with not meeting our requirements.  Peel work with us as a school to develop our local bespoke needs and our developing a local pool of actors who frequently return to support the learning of our students.

We find Peel Roleplay, to be very professional, responsive and adaptable to our needs as a new medical school. I have no hesitation in recommending their services to any other organisation who is considering using their services. “

 – Dr Tim Collins, Senior Lecturer in Clinical Skills and Academic Lead for OSCES. Kent & Medway Medical School

“The Simulated Patient role is essential in providing an assessment which is both standardised and authentic. Due to your SPs outstanding professionalism the assessment ran extremely well. It was humbling to be part of such a large team, everyone sensitive to the student’s needs and committed to providing a fair opportunity for every student to demonstrate their progression as safe clinicians.”

– Malcolm Bruce, Associate Director of Clinical Dental Education, University of Plymouth

“From all of us organising the EPA process, we wanted to say a huge thankyou for your sterling work this week. It was an entirely new process for us all, and your willingness to take this on, step into quite a degree of uncertainty and embrace the process was amazing. You all put the CAP’s at ease and gave them the very best opportunity to show the skills they’ve developed over the last 17 months.”

– Helen Ellis-Caird, Principal Clinical Psychologist and Principal Lecturer. Deputy Programme Lead for CAP Training Programme, Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust

“We have collated all the feedback from examiners which was uniformly positive. Examiners were asked to rate SPs in relation to performance, professionalism and standardisation – and feedback sheets returned. There was 100% agreement on the quality of the SPs. Our external examiners have recently submitted their reports, which are similarly encouraging in relation to SPs. On behalf of the Final MB team – thanks, and well done! ”

– Dr Richard Fuller, Director MBChB, University of Leeds School of Medicine
